FYI to anybody going to the MSG show from NJ -

if you are worried about missing the last train/bus home you can drive to hoboken (exit 14C on the turnpike) and take the path right to 33rd st. the path runs all night so you dont have to worry about missing anything.

Ok cleared it up - I just called MSG.  The first 4 sections on the floor are GA/pit.  The remainder of the floor is regular seating.  Now I am very torn about where to sit...

WoW, i won't believe it till I see it....that will be completely insane.

Nice, that is generally unheard of for MSG unless it's a U2 show.? I knew they wouldn't make the entire floor GA, it's just much too big and people would be killing each other to get to the front.? I guess I will decide when I am actually on ticketmaster where I want to sit.? I have stood for the last 4 shows I saw, not sure what I want to do now.

If you aren't intending to get pit seats I wouldn't reccomend the floor, that's just my opinion.

Burning Hills-the 300's are probably the 60 buck seats and the 400's the even cheaper ones.  You never want to sit in the 400's unless it's your only option.

I can only afford one show-- how much of a difference is there between the NJ and MSG shows-- it would be much easier to get to the NJ show, but I gotta say I i'll feel a bit disappointed if I'm really missing out...

Dude there is no way its easier to get to the NJ show.  Continental is in the middle of the wasteland that is Secaucus where almost no public transportation heads to.  If you are that afraid of using trains and/or buses to NYC then yes NJ is the better show for you.  Either that or you literally live right next door to that pit.

In terms of transportation, you are absolutely correct.  It's getting out of commitments that is the problem... Trust me, I use that trans system constantly, including to the hammerstein shows, so i know how easy it is to get in and out, though i did not know about the Path system.  I just want to know if the MSG show will be so much better that I should do whatever necessary to see that show over the NJ show.

I have to disagree.  I thought that way once.  But then I sat there - last week, at The Who, on the side of the stage in the 400s.  Still great seats.  Great view.  And you're right near a bathroom and beer.  If you've got to get 400s, just make sure they're within the first 3 sections on either side of the stage.

I'm beginning to think 11/6 is a hold date for a 2nd show if the first CAA show sells out- both 11/5 and 11/6 are the only 2 days free on the arenas schedule that week- and all sources have been reporting one date or the other, and the initial leaked date was 11/6. MSG is completely booked except for 11/10 so they can't add a 2nd show there. As for which venue to go to if you can go to one show, MSG without a doubt. As long as the sound guys have there shit together at this show- the sound will be amazing there. That place shakes, you can feel the drums there at the 2002 show. As one poster said, even the 300s aren't terrible there as long as your not center 300s. The sound is even good all the way up in the 400s and skyboxes. CAA has absolutely horrible acoustics- echoes all over the place and you can't feel any bass at all. Plus really lame ushers who need to see your ticket everytime you enter the section(you couldve walked past them 100 times it doesnt matter). There is one easy route of public transportation to that shitty venue though- you can take a bus from the port authority, which is like a 15 min ride. I think it only leaves early though like at 7 so be prepared to be waiting a long time for Axl to come out.

On a side note, I was at Willowbrook Mall today in NJ, and I noticed Spencer's Gifts had up that sign for the Artist of the Month, and I signed up for that contest.

It's nice to see GNR being promoted in the area! I can't wait to hear that commercial, Bandita.
