i can't believe that album is coming so soon.
this is huge
it also hasn't leaked yet and Tool is keeping it on lockdown. Tool may very well become the first mainstream band of the digital age to prevent their album from leaking. even if it did leak i don't think i'd listen. what i am going to try to do TRY to do, is not listen to the single or DL the leak and just get the album when it comes out, go into my room, and listen to the entire thing for the first time. Tool's albums are best to be digested as a whole and i would love to have the feeling of listening to something totally new and fresh without ANY exposure. So i am going to conciously not listen to the single either. I've never really done this before and im kinda pysched, lol.
anyone heard anything about U.S. Tour Dates yet?

The New Guitar World has an interview with TooL guitarist Adam Jones. It's pretty good so far
it looks like the album title is indeed "10,000 Days"

10,000 days is an excellent title.
Just take a look at their artwork:

this thing has ridiclously high expectations, i mean the last two albums are widely considered to be masterpieces!!
but if anyone can pull off three in row, its TOOL!! LOL
In a recent interview Maynard said A Perfect Circle is definitely over. They may get together for a couple songs much later on but thats about it. I loved APC but this means Maynard can focus more on Tool so thats good.

Yeah.. im sure Tool is the band to make 3 masterpieces in a row! I even think Undertow Rocks so hard!!
Yeah, Maynard said APC was over.. But i guess only time will tell. They have made 2 GREAT records, and one OK.. soo...
But Maynard are also working with the Puscifer project with Lohner.. and the 2 songs ive heard from them are Great!

i dont remember i read it on a Tool forum, it was in an interview for 10,000 Days so Maynard and the interviewer didn't reall dwell on APC for very long. but also Billy Howerdel, the guitarist who basically created APC since he wrote all the music to Mers De Noms and showed it to Maynard in like 1998ish has said in recent interviews also that APC in its current form is over.
So either he will wait till Maynard can collabrate for a couple songs like Maynard said, or just get another vocalist. Keep in mind Billy Howerdel initially wanted a female vocalist for A Perfect Circle.
It really is a damn shame, The Thirteenth Step is a fantastic record, one of my all time faves, and Mers De Noms is damn good.

Yes, yes, yes, we all know the background, the history, the origins. What I want is a source! Billy or Maynard. I'm not saying that you're making it up, there is no reason why you would, it's just that I'm not that up to date right now, I would like confirmation of what you're saying... Because I'll be gutted. I was hoping for one more album, a nice round 3, and go out with a bang. Not that the last record they ever put out to be eMotive.

sorry dude i dont know where the interview is but u have my word, im not known for lying on these forums lol.
anyway this review got me even more excited, its from the toolnavy forum its good cuz its not too specific so don't worry about it ruining the experience of listening to it for the first time? or anything.
http://toolshed.down.net/news/tales/10kdaysprereview.html
i am so excited for this. i'm gonna be at college for finals the tuesday it comes out and i could probably get a hold of it but i don't want to be distracted cuz i'm going to be studying. but i'm probably going back on the saturday after the release and i'll get it then, so its only and extra four days. the extra wait is gonna suck though.

I'll have to be on the other side of the fence however, prefering mer de noms to any of the Tool albums
although not putting any Tool album down, they are fucking
love the band ?
any of the Tool fans in here like a perfect circle?
