I have had a few people asking about decoding SHN files.

By far the BEST program is 'Traders Little Helper'. It encodes and decodes both FLAC and SHN (and APE), it also verifies checksum/MD5 files and can slso test the files also for any errors.

Its simple to use and if you haven't got it already, please aquire it now (its free):

TLH its a nice program, hard to find though, very useful in some of its functions.

But I wouldnt replace FLAC frontend or the standard ape/shn programs for this.

Although FLAC Frontend is good, it's nowhere near as good as TLH. I have had errors sometimes when encoding/decoding with FF, but with TLH I have had no errors at all and it's more reliable imho.

But everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
