Before Claypool was a worthless wanker, he was actually involved in a kick-ass heavy metal band called Blind Illusion, that sadly only released 1 album, The Sane Asylum. It is best described as American power metal with thrash influences, but it isn't pretentious. It's relatively simple, but it has plenty of good riffs and song construction. Find it wherever you can, since it's a gem worth hearing.
