As for songs that need to be dropped quick:

- Out Ta Get Me (Axl can't really nail it anymore)

I wuld argue that big time. In my opinion when I saw them at Hammerstein that was the best performance of the night bar none. And Out Ta Get Me is nowhere near my fav Gn'R song but the band as well as Axl did in fact "Nail" that night.

Yesterdays is essential for me... I'd love to hear the new band play it. Still my favorite GNR song, past or present.

Other than that, and maybe working Think About You back into the setlist, I'd be happy to hear more new stuff from CD.

Heck yes... I'm not a fan of the sleep-inducing version they've adopted either.

I agree, when I saw that in Vegas it was one of the highlights of the night.

I don't need your civil war.

I'd love to hear Estranged and Don't Damn Me added to the set list, and also Pretty Tied up.

HELLS YES! Dont Damn Me would rock - some people at the show wouldn't know if it was new or old.

Richard said that Civil War might be a possibility.

that would be the best addition of them all I think.

I booo the thought of Estranged.  I love that song but have never liked it live. In fact I think all Gn'R ballads are terrible live. except for Sweet Child(is that a ballad?)

Catcher In The Rye

« Reply #72 on: September 30, 2006, 10:01:32 PM »

clearly they arent going to play any more illusions songs...they are just playing appetite + november rain (because they have to) + live and let die and then the new songs.? they havent deviated from this yet, why would that? dont cry is just filler in the show.

patience and Knock, Knock, Knockin on Heavens doorawor

Are you implying that Patience is a Illusion's song? If so, that's the best joke i've heard all day!
i was implying the hole in your statement that "they are just playing appetite + november rain (because they have to) + live and let die and then the new songs" you forgot they are also playing KOHD and patience.

KOHD 2006 is one of the absolute highlights for me. I can't believe people on here don't appreciate it. Axl's so awesome on that one. Dream on about "You Ain't The First" while bitching about KOHD and IRS. Jesus titty-fuckin' christ. If you can't say anything nice then shut your gob.

I love Jarmo. He's more GN'R than anyone else on here. Smiley

Drop:
Live And Let Die
My Michelle
Knockin' On Heaven's Door (Not cuz it sucks but takes up 10 minutes)
Think About You
Fortus & Bumble Solos

Add:
TWAT
Rhiad and the Bedouins
Don't Cry
You're Crazy

Now, these are VERY doable... It's not like I'm asking for Don't Damn me, Estranged, Locomotive & Coma...

To be honest. Id like to mix things up like some nights play Nice Boys instead of My Michelle. some nights play Yesterdays instead of Think About You. Some Nights Used To Love Her..Some Estranged some Dont Cry,Cival War. Just mix up bit to bit to keep concerts and the band fresh. Mixed in with new songs though of course. But you get my drift.
