« on: September 30, 2006, 04:14:22 PM »

Well, wasn't Ron playing "Don't Cry" at one of the gigs in Europe?

Who thinks the NA tour will include Illusions songs?

I do.

Of course they?ll do!

Can you imagine being at a GNR gig and not listening to November Rain or You could be mine? Now, if you mean if they are playing more illusions songs that?s something you American fellows won?t know untill the tour starts.

I would like that, but I'm not hopefull. I think at best we might see TWAT included more once the album drops (if the mid-november rumors are true) and maybe one more song from CD. The Blues, Madagascar, Chinese Democracy, I.R.S., Better, There Was A Time, maybe one other.

I would love to see Don't Cry and Civil War added though.

I'm hoping they'll do Estranged..but that's doubtful ..and since Ron's got "Don't Cry" in his solo there's a chance it might be on the set list.

I don't. ?I think they'd play brand spanking new songs before they play "Civil War" or "Dead Horse". ?Ron does play that "Don't Cry" solo though, so I guess that COULD be possible. ?But I doubt it. ?I think we'll see much the same setlist, unless we get the album during the tour which we are supposed to.

I don't think the setlists will change much from what they've been playing all year, they're hitting most markets for the first time.

That's a good point.  All the people calling for changes in the setlist don't realize that the people GOING to the concerts want to hear the classics.  Sure I'd love to download newer or different songs from the concerts but that's not what it's all about.

Or they could simply do 60% of new songs but I doubt the album will drop in the early part of the tour. ?They did do the Illusion tour without the albums being dropped till late in the year in 91.

I'd like to hear the new band playing Double Talkin' Jive ("Motherfucker"? rant). Who knows, he might dedicate it to Scott Weiland or somebody....
