Hard to say,  its Guns - so, of course, there's nothing ever "practically a given".  I'll say this.  Alot more signs point to it happening now or in the next couple of days than not, thats for sure.

Not to mention they're rapidly approaching that 2 month boundary prior to Rio..although I wouldn't do something stupid like bet my dog's life on it.. I'd say we're gonna get our fabled "press release in due course" within the next 100 hours or so.

Why do you doubt...? If the album really is coming out this summer why not announce it with the tour...?

Personally, I think the pending press release will only be about the tour. I honestly don't think we will find out when CD will be released until Rio or later.  My guess is the release will say something to the affect of "The tour will be in support of the upcoming album "Chinese Democracy", which will be ready for release later this year"

i agree, i never expected a press release about CD yet, just one mentioning the tour, if anything at all. either way i'm just ecstatic to see them!

Latest I'm hearing is expect the announcement by March 28 - however, its more likely to come in by the end of this week. (Friday would be my guess). No idea as to what info will be in it, though. My best guess is confirmation of tour dates and album release date. Possibly single info as well - but that's just speculation.

To refresh memories, I have a friend in PR and Marketing for a good sized retail chain (which, in turn, is owned by a huge retail chain). She's been told (keep in mind, this is the 2nd time she's been advised of a time table for this...the first time was just before/while the first dates were being announced) that they'll have a PR by the end of this week. That was as of Tuesday.
