No, "better" intro is terrible. I think CD (with the new intro of course!) would make a good opener.

Silkworms.  Listen motherfuckers to this first song that should be heard.

Dude I know CD live has been kinda weak, gotten better, but It should own studio.  I think the vox a little weak for it though.

I honestly don't think that any of these songs have that 'opening track' feel to them, but if I had to pick one of the new songs I'd go with mostly everyone else and pick Chinese Democracy.

But that track IMO would need more altercations to it to sound like an opening song (even though it's already a good song).

If I had to guess I think it'll have an intro before the first song anyway, so this whole topic could be pointless.

I don't see how people can speculate when there are tons of songs we havent even heard.

We arent even sure how many of the songs that leaked will even be on CD.

From the songs we've heard, it definitely has to be "Chinese Democracy"

Based on that killer ambient intro, and then ripping into the opening chords, the song would be perfect.. It's a killer riff, it's simple, it's a catchy melody, and it's not musically complicated or anything like that..It's easy to grasp, it doesnt need repeated listens to take it all on like "Madagascar" might.. just my own opinion

"Better" would be a good 2nd or 3rd track

Acording to the band, there are more than three dozen songs.  what are the chances that what we have heard so far will all be on the same album?  There are probably so many other great songs that can open the album.  Chinese Democracy would be killer though, Ive always thought that the opening riff is one of the coolest riffs Ive ever heard. yes ok peace

Indeed, Better is more of a track 3 or beyond kinda song - The beginning track either needs to sound massive or fast n' aggressive.

Something like Rhiad would totally fit the bill, but I'm sure there's something we haven't heard yet that'd work even better as the intro.

some of them will be on the album. quote from official site:
"They also rewarded their patient fans with four songs from the long-awaited Chinese Democracy album, which is slated to be released soon."

Good point. I think it will be either CD/IRS or something of that caliber that we havent heard yet. No way in hell is Better, CITR, or anything of that magnitude going to open the album. YOu cant give too much of the album away on the opening track, so it will most definitely be one of the "average" songs from the album. They wont open the album with a "big gun".

Should def. open with IRS. Perfect sort of Rock and Roll song that jams BIG TIME and also screams "Not your 20th Century GNR"

Not in my opinion. More than half of AFD consists of better songs than Jungle.

It'll be a damn shame if it isn't.  That song should definitely make the album.  I'd rather hear that over TWAT & IRS.
