Honey, it's been obvious for years that there's a gag order on players in the band for years regarding stuff that you "really want to know". Also a lot of stuff that they may plain not know about. There would really be no point in asking. It wouldn't have accomplished anything.

Please tell me what other "band" puts a gag order on its members. Does Bono put a gag on the Edge? Vince Neil put a gag on Nikiki Sixx? This just helps to further the publics perception that this is Axl and his hired guns.
I'm actually glad you used Crue as one example. Remember when they were trying to put the reunion together about 2 years ago? Every time it came up in the press Tommy would just say "I don't know anything about that" or "I can't comment on that".
Then when VH1 aired their special about the reunion, it became clear that Tommy had actually been in talks with the lawyers, record company and the rest of the band longer then the rumors had even been around. It was in the best interest of everyone that he make comments to the effect of "I don't know anything about that" because everything was still being worked out by the above mentioned parties.
Ever stop to think that maybe Axl isn't evil and this could be the same case?
