Guns N' Roses are also delighted to announce that they have partnered with Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLB.COM)

I was watching FOX baseball (Cardinals vs. Brewers) this afternoon and when they went to commercial they started the intro to Sweet Child O' Mine. With the recent press release I don't think this is a coincidence thet they all of a sudden payed a GNR song. FOX is hosting the playoffs and the World Series and if GNR has an agreement with MLB then the promotion started TODAY.

I think they are going to gradually play these songs and then promote the new music/ album through the MLB playoffs. Today was just the start.

Why couldn't they have picked FOOTBALL (American that is) instead of Baseball?  Yes I'm whining.  I can't watch a baseball game without falling asleep.  hihi

It was a great idea, I agree.  I just can't stand the sport, personally lol.  It's a wonderful promotional tool though  ok

It'd be a better idea if the White Sox were on path to a repeat!

The FOX people like GN'R.  They broke with SCOM during a NASCAR race, and they use Mr. B during football games.  Doesn't mean it was because of the partnership.

1.MLB has nothing to do with which songs a network plays during their broadcast

2.i love the jays, i didnt think they would make it this year, but its nice that they made it above 3rd for the frist time since 93'.

I'd like to see Axl sing the national anthem at the World Series.  Dodger Stadium is just a few miles from his house  Smiley

And with the Dodgers now in the playoffs, that would be every fans dream.  Dodger Stadium is where they played Jungle first, and that's when every other team in over other sport starting copying the Dodgers.

It's great that GNR and Baseball are doing this cross-promotion deal... But I'd really love to see GNR play the Superbowl Half-Time show!  What do you guys think?

Great idea, I suggested this as well.  Sure would beat watching all those other crappy acts.  The last good show was with U2 after 9/11.

The U2 performace was awesome!  I would love to see GNR get that kind of airtime on live television during such a popular event!

From a marketing point of view this is the best thing one band can get, billions of people from all over the wordl, nothing can top a promo like this.

The Rolling Stones was cool at the super ball. yes

The MLB thing is great, amazing parthership for GNR and the best suport for the new web site.
Kudos for the GNR manager. ok

If CD is released anytime soon they will probably promote it on the MLB sites. I know they have done that with other cds such as Bon Jovi's Have a Nice Day.
