Buckcherry would have been awesome.

Agreed  beer

Double agreed!

I don't love Papa Roach but at least people have heard of them.  I won't be in early to see them but I am sure they will attract some casual fans to the shows.

casual fans for nearly $100...i doubt it

Haha true, but here in NY we pay that for everything so I get all confuzzled.

This show isn't going to need casual Papa Roach fans to sell out.  I could open up with a hand puppet routine and it would still sell out.  People are coming for GNR.  The opening act is just a bonus (usually - not in this case though - more like a  rant)

Listen to that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHUmv8yfR3I
This is a good song. I'm happy they open for GN'R. They are 1 million times better than BFMV and A7X and all that "metal" shit noise.
GN'R ain't "metal". Papa Roack are OK.  Cool

Yeah I timed it so I only saw the last 10 mins of MMM.  I know people who THOUGHT they had it timed out perfectly and wound up missing the first 4-5 GNR songs! hahahaha

I was there early only because of the weather outside.  It was the one and only time I was actually in early for a GNR show because I know better.  I was more amused by some chicks near me looking like throwbacks from the 80's dancing on their chairs and stripping for the audience than whomever was opening anyway.

People people. Look at the big picture. This is much better for GNR then if fucking Bach opened. Think about what you are saying.

Guns N Roses is doing a MUCH better job then I ever thought possible with reaching todays youth. I never would have imagined them being embraced by Kroq like they have. This isn't something that just happens either. Only Metallica has done this. Stones couldnt by the way. Man, dont you people want the best for Chinese D to be accepted into mainstream and be a huge success reaching out to another generation and shit.

I do not own anything Papa Rouch. But, I do know they are played on heavy rotation on Kroq. They are big today. Really big. And a big band is opening for GNR. You cant buy that exposure. It either happens or it doesnt. Back in the day GNR always had big bands opening. They sure as shit couldnt in '02. I think this is great news for GNR. Its going to be a monster tour now.

I will wait on the responses if any, to drop some more reasons...but this is awesome news! I think GNR are primed and ready for a full scale takeover. If CD doesnt drop this year I will fucking scream!

Papa Roach will be a good opener. I've seen them twice before. It'll be 100 times better than CKY and ! Million times better than Mixmaster Mike.

The Paramour Sessions is a good cd, very 80's influenced.

I am actually a big Papa Roach fan, this is great news!  I know they aren't the most popular band ever, but they are pretty big for an opener.
