Yeah we can't spam them, don't just call and do stupid pranks or whatever, but here's a suggestion.

Someone should call and imply they are Merck (don't say you are Merck or you could get in trouble). Say someone told you the band's music was being played in public yesterday and that this has upset you very much and is causing you to question the priority of the album's safety with the company, blah blah blah...

IF YOU PULL IT OFF RIGHT you will not have to lie at all...just say you're concerned...and you can be concerned as a fan, but if you do it right they'll think you have authority and treat you more seriously.

Noboy make fake calls and stuff. If your going to call then just ask about the music being played.. we dont want merck/geffen/all them getting mad at us (not that any of us did that already, im just putting it out there)  beer

thats absolutely right. like i tried to repeat in my posts before, as long as you're honest and genuine, if anything this is positive for them because there's all this stir up that came from just one random passer by who just happened to be there. apparently from mr russian roulettes little stunt hehe, were not hostile, were just serious fans looking for answers and giving our feedback. had we been protesting in front of the building or blocking their phones or going there in person and harassing them in large numbers, thats a different story.

I'd be careful about that.....there is a line that can't be crossed here......just keep calling and asking about it....those people don't work.......Their job is to be snotty and stand behind a desk.

Please do not attempt to reinact any of the stunts and/or phone calls that took place in this thread. The phone calls were done by proffessionals, and under the supervision of proffessionals. Leave it to RR. (the little thing that comes up durring jackass) Wink

Yes, I don't suggest lying, but misleading...? Never a bad thing. (Unless you're George W. Bush.)

It's easy to give people the wrong idea without actually saying anything wrong.

"Hello?"

"Yes. I need to speak with a manager on duty immediately."

"Can I ask what this call is about, sir?"

"What's your name?"

"What?"

"I want your name."

"Uh..."

"I need to speak to a manager right now, it has to do with the security regarding an album in production at Geffen. Is this the Santa Monica office?"

"Yes..."

"Please redirect me to a manager on duty."

"Okay, sir. One moment please."

It works.  ok

Yeah, you're not revealing your identity, they don't know where you're calling from, and any person in a reception/administration capacity would feel uncomfortable taking a call like that.. i know i would

I don't want to get labeled as someone trying to spam Geffen, so I'm going to hold off calling them again, at least for now. I called once and I don't want to be a troublemaker.

If no one else does this, I might try tomorrow.
