I would say don't call and ask becuase I'm going to have an early dinner there tonight and want to see if it happens again. ?I'm affraid some fool calling will keep them from blasting it out of that balcony again. ?Just my 2cents. ?Watil til tomorrow at least. ?I'm willing to go in there and ask them what music was playing and where can i guy it. ?But i'm not going to spoil the opportunity by calling. ?In person is always more effective.

Lighting doesn't strike the same place twice.. well maybe in this case, it will are you going to bring your digital camera and be ready to record? i can see you on a date and all of a sudden you run off across the street in the middle of the meal and start recording some building

You can believe this guy 100%. He was at the NY Hammerstein shows and has proven to be a loyal friend and fan within mygnrforum for years. Now, all that we have to do is to wait for the video (which is on it's way-thanx Almost Famous).

The picture did take a while to come through last night, but I got it and posted it right when I got it. I'll see if he'll send me the actual video, and see if it'll work to send it to me.

I agree, you really went above & beyond to defend yourself here. I wouldn't have. I would just post this is what happened, blah blah blah, don't believe me?!! So be it.


I understand people get personal, plus it does suck when people doubt you, and imply you are lying. But we do have pretty good reason to be skeptical of posts. So many times people claim they know someone who works in radio, and they recv'd the single (you probably get the same thing at mygnr).. Someone here a week or two ago posted a picture of a CD & claimed it was "Chinese Democracy" someone in Axl's entourage showed it to them after she had too much to drink... (I highly doubt members of Axl's posse carry CD in their purse with them). Stories of knowing someone who's Mom works in the music industry and knows it's being mastered (when it turns out she probably works at Circuit City) and so on...

I for one believe your story, although I'm really not sure exactly how you know for sure these weren't the demo's. Songs can change when played thru different speakers, especially very loud public speakers. The bass can be highers, different vocals come thru, etc... I find it coincidental the only 4 songs they played were the 4 leaked demo's.. also, I don't think employee's of UMG are constatly playing GnR in the office, but who knows. Myb they did rec'v some finished tracks or hear some big news & celebrated internally.

I don't think anyone is questioning his truthfulness. We have reached the point where we need to find out what exactly he heard and from where.

If I were to snoop around geffen, I would try to find out what goes on at the balcony and who has access to it.
