Catcher In The Rye

« on: September 25, 2006, 07:29:12 PM »

I searched but couldn't find anything. I was wondering if anyone knew the name to Robin's Solo he played at inland invasion, it's possible it was all improvised, but before I tried to figure out I wanted to be sure. So, Does anyone have a tab or any info on this solo??

I think it was all improvised, just Robin jamming with himself, lol..

But it was an un-fucking-believable solo. Loved every minute of it! headbanger

I don't think it's a echo-effect he uses. I think it's a tremolo type of effect. In other words, an effect that switches the sound on and off, multiple times.

In the video he hits the effect for the intro, hits it off for the middle, and then back on for the outro (repeat of the intro). He then switches again for the intro to sweet child.

yeah i'm pretty sure its tremolo, which makes the sound fade in and out.

I belive it is a step sequencer (like a programmed  kill swith, you set the tempo, the steps, and it cuts the signal according to your programming) combined with some echo/short delay/reverb etc etc etc.

Hope it helps.  peace

And that is called a tremolo effect. Like you said it's like a programmed kill-switch.

Tremolo doesn't have a sharp cut like this.

Tremolo doesn't have a sharp cut like this.

You can program the tremolo to have either smooth fade ins and outs, or sharp cuts like Robin has for the solo.
