my opinion: A single will be out before the next show

I think something regarding a single, or an announcement of some kind about the album is going to happen real soon. 

GNR is realizing that they aren't going to bring in very big crowds without an album, or single, or an announcement.  I think this is why they are rescheduling some tour dates.  I have a feeling that towards the end of October we are going to have a single.  This way, they will have something to tour with.  I think the album will drop shortly after, and this (I believe) is why they are moving these bigger venue tour dates back, so that they have a better chance of bringing in more people.

You don't believe Merck's re-iteration that it will be this year as Axl stated? I mean. it's a pretty bold statement with only 3 months of the year remaining. A guy's gotta be confident saying things like that, right?

you guys are forgetting one detail.
there's no more "big" events they can use to anounce the single.
first "big" event is the first show of the tour, on oct. 20th, and that's the soonest I expect any news of the single.

the last chance went away last night with the show.
they could have used it to anounce the single, and yet they did not. that only proves that they have no itention to release the single in such short period.

by "short period" I mean, next 3-4 weeks.

my earliest bet for a single is oct 20th, but first week of november seems far more likely.

It's my hope that they'd have enough foresight to release the single a week or even 2 PRIOR to the Jacksonville date...We're really getting down to the wire for black friday scheduling here.
