I'm disappointed.

Please, Axl, an announcement. Please.

Or this was another failed opportunity.

Dude, you get your hopes up way too high
Axl will most likely not announce the date during a concert, I don't know why people think that...

People expect it because it's a good way of communicating with fans, especially on a widely-brodcast event such as Inland Invasion. This is the biggest audience they'll have in a long time.

I think that a million poster ads and radio announcements will probably do the trick when the record label decides to promote the album release...

Don't be naive, dude.

How many months left in 2006?

Most bands start promoting this far in advance... we don't even have a release date.

That's not the point. What I'm saying is that Axl doesn't need to announce the date at a freaking concert, and I'm 99% sure that will not happen

Same old set but still fun and good to have a new pro-shot... Every time there's a stream or a pro-shot on TV, we get the same set... but when there's no stream or anything, we get Used To Love Her, Rocket Queen, Madagascar, Chinese Democracy & Think About You...

You said millions of ads, etc. will do the trick. Not true if they plan on having this out by the end of the year and still have a release date up in the air. Announcing a release date in front of this many people would not only let GN'R fans know, it would let Inland Invasion watchers/listeners know...it would have been a great way of leading into the promotion.
