The buck stops here!

Just wanted to know if anyone bought the Season 2 dvd release of the Office (American version).  There's a scene in the Bonus Materials on disc 1 where Dwight Schrute tells the temp Ryan that he should like Guns N Roses, because Dwight loves Guns N Roses and then he offers to make him a GNR mix tape  rofl

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

 ok

It's pretty funny (the funniest US remake of a Britcom I've seen), but nowhere near as funny as the Ricky Gervais version. So far they managed to drag out the story in 12 UK episodes (+ special) to  28 episodes in the US. Speaking of RG - the new season of Extras isn't so great. Ep1 was pretty funny but ep2 was awful.

Love both versions of the show. Have em all on DVD. Haven't watched all the Bonus features yet as I started watching My Name Is Earl DVD's this weekend.

They managed to extend the U.S. version longer by giving more for the supporting characters to do, I feel. I forget the name of Gervais' writing partner but all the credit goes to them for creating the series.

I dont know if it is the best American remake but its close. Wasn't All In The Family a re-make. That would get my vote.

Agreed, ep 1 was amazing but 2 wasn't as good!

Does anyone listen to the RG podcasts? Hilarious

I listened to one and it was really funny - have a few more on my hard drive but haven't got round to listening to them yet.
