US tour to be announced next week [September 2006]

Man it's such a stone cold trip for me to be actually thinking this damn thing might finally come out.  I have been waiting for five years.  That's crazy to me that i'm almost positive that it's going to happen this time round.  I really hope a dvd happens.  The story of chinese democracy is such a mystery i would love to know just what exactly happened?

Just checking but did someone say on here that Merck said the tour and album date would be announced together ? Im sure i imagined it but have a slight feeling that it was said on here.

I don't think he mentioned the album that way.

He said "There will be an announcement next week of the entire tour." and "The album will be out this year as Axl has previously stated.".

Merck did say (quite a while back), that the tour and the album would be revealed all at the same time. Although, which tour he was referring to, and whether that will happen is another thing.

I'm still skeptical, but I guess waiting for something for 13 years will do that to you...

just think about it : We are soooooo close to the album and even closer to an announcement...
It will feel very strange to know the album will be out xx.xx.2006..
and it will feel a lot stranger to actually hold the cd in my own hands and to put them in the cd-player...
It is almost like a " long exhausting journey" comes to an end

Unfortunately, there are some on this board who will then have to tell everyone, incessently, how much greater this that and the other song/solo/lyric would have been with the different members of the band (ie Slash, Duff, Buckethead, etc)
