this is definitely going to be an exciting week. i think the it is very important to get the CD out before the tour, so pushing the dates back even though merck said to fit the body of the tour, is a good move, with CD out, gnr will get some new mainstream media play, which will open the band up to a new wave of fans.

Ricker on 99.9 KISW, Seattle, is making a GnR announcement tomorrow. I'm guessing that the tour will be announced tomorrow. I hope Ricker gets to do an interview with Axl, he's one funny fucking guy.

Probably the best post I've ever read in the years of coming to this forum. Great news.  Can't wait to see a Kentucky tour date pop up!?!?!

Yeah, I agree.  It's just a matter of time until it happens and, with a new album, we should get some fresh material.  Plus, they have time off to prepare to rock out a few new songs.  Lets cross our fingers anyway  peace

Who wants to bet that we get a CD release date this week? It would be perect timing, if they are about to anounce the tour.

I would bet that we don't get a release date this week, but it's one bet I would hope to lose.

I bet we don't.  I expect a tour announcement for dates we already know, maybe a few more. Maybe plans for South America too.

I'm thinking the announcement for the CD/Single will be seperate in a few weeks.

The reason I would bet against a release date this week is because it's the logical thing to do, and as we all know, GnR never does the logical thing.

I agree with you 100% . Without an album release date announcement very shortly after this Tour announcement, we run the risk of it being 2002 all over again in terms of attendance figures not in major cities. Not to mention that the last time a casual fan saw/heard GNR was the 02 VMA's, not exactly a resounding endorsement of the band. A new single would do wonders to get people talking in positive terms about the band, rather than local DJ's who will make the tour announcement, and proceed to mock Axl about still failing to put out an album.

Bottom line is they cant tour tour tour tour w/ out an album. Same old stupid setlist is old. 1/2 new 1/2 old would be good.

Hopefully this week we get a tour... cd release date and single soon.  ok

Im sure the new single will be something amazing. Anyways im sick of waiting like yall.

And at that KROQ show did AXL lose the facial hair? :

I'm sure we'll get a date here in KY. I can see them doing a show in Louisville or Lexington, though it's closer for me going to the Nashville show? hihi They'd originally had a Lexington show scheduled in '02, but it got changed to Pittsburgh...

Yes I remember the date was November 22 to be exact...who knows that might be the NEW Kentucky date.  Cheers to next week.  I already have AA seats to Tennessee, but KY would bring out everyone I know...it would be nice.
