I first discovered it years ago, when I did a search for GNR website, and saw that the official site, had zero on it. However, only decided to start posting here just now.

I actually found out about it from another message board that I would visit.? ?It would get mentioned from time-to-time and I decided to check it out!? ?

The fans here seem nice and don't spend too much time criticizing new members...and this is very refreshing!? ?

Yeah, same here.  I did a Yahoo search and this is one of the first ones to come up.  I looked at a couple others, but this was by far the best.

I don't think I found this site. I think it found me.

In fact, I really can't remember the internet too well before this site existed.

How many message boards can you post at that have the lead singer of the band it's supporting actually mention him, not in a rant, at one of their concerts.

There's not one other message board, even mine, that people should feel like they owe a gift of a thank you to the people who run it. But this board, this board and this site, we should all be thankful for. I know I am.

If memory serves...I was looking for '02 tour tickets.

Wanted to get some off the presale, but the mailing list was "late" (think, they had the mailing set to go out at Pacific time, not Eastern) with the password, so I emailed jarmo (who's email I found on the front page...after doing a yahoo search on GnR)  asking if he knew the pass.

He directed me to the forums, here (which, FYI, got me the pass and AWESOME seats).

The rest is infamy...I mean history.
