Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk Dec 17 & 19

They added two shows for December at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk in Iniversal City California.  The pre-sale starts Saturday.

Just called the venue box office. The woman told me NO GN'R dates have been confirmed yet. I don't know whether to trust her since she wasn't very polite and wanted to get rid of me.
Damn, that is one fine venue for a GN'R show - only 6,000 capacity, 100 in the pit.

ok, well this is how i see it....i think this might happen...We all know that gn'r will be playing a show on sat in cali for the radio station kroq...of course theres that whole interview axl did with kroq a wile ago, he mentioned that kroq was one of the first radio stations to play gn'r...ok the point im trying to make, and what I was going to make a topic about was that I was wondering if gn'r was going to do the kroq almost acoustic christmass this year?? Ok, those of you that dont know these are huge shows, they are 2 nights of very huge bands that play at that exact venue...the time fram for kroqs almost acoustic christmass has always been in december around that time frame...so who knows when it comes to g/r...I would not be surprised if this was for another kroq show....what do you all think?

id like to see them as well....I am currently in the state of Georgia for some Army training...but Id lke to see them come to georgia or a near by state/city before Dec...Im going on leave in Dec, back to my home L.A  I am currently stationed in Germany...so I got to see them at Rock Am Ring, itd be cool to see them over hear in georgia area then again in L.A

that's actually a very good idea!  they could be playing both nights or something, and a lot of bands that do KROQ events at one time in the year do another one.  (Ex. Atreyu, they played the Weenie Roast and they're doing Inland Invasion).

I really hope it isnt another KROQ event. They fuck people over with ticket sales.. I'm looking forward to Inland Invasion.. but it would be great to ONLY see GNR in December and enjoy the new songs from the album that will likely be out by then.

if it was a kroq show, expect to see lots of other big bands to perform...but heres the catch...now that I think about it...i dont know if it will be the almost acoustic christmass thingy, because every kroq almost acoustic christmass show was always on a sat and sun...ALWAYS..if you are familiar with the show/kroq...the show wont even be anounced untill late november or early december...but what does have me wondering, maybe kroq is changing things up, and still have not anounced the gig, and the show with gn'r presale thingy is like a one day sale, then tickets go off sale untill kroq descides to make an anouncement...I mean, like i said anything is possible..but i have no clue what is going on here...maybe its just a seperate gn'r show all togther...and the almost acoustic christmass will be without gn'r...but like i said earlier....almost acoustic christmass is 2 nights(always been sat and sun) and both nights have huge bands, bands that are big enough to sell out venues with no problem, they usually put 4 or 5 huge bands togther a night..so time will tell my friends...by the way...anyone out there know the latest gn'r have ever gone on stage? Im almost willing to bet that rock am ring had to be one for the records...they didnt go on stage untill 2:45AM

most likely its just going to be a normal tour stop.

universal amplitheatre is a pretty decent sized place to play if your afraid you wont sell out staples or the forum
