Here Today...

« on: September 20, 2006, 05:01:58 PM »

Hey guys, not sure if this is even rare at all but i've never seen it before so I was wondering if anyone knew. I just recently bought a poster from an independent Spencer's gifts type store called Funky 7 here in Royal Oak, MI of the original Appetite for Destruction cover, the banned one. It's an import poster made in England and it is a full sized poster. Any info what be greatly appreciated, thanks!

It isn't worth the paper it's printed on!  Grin

Not that rare. Just because it is imported doesn't mean a thing.

And, the only original appetite LP cover that is worth anything more than it's original sales price is the first US pressing. Don't be fooled on Ebay into buying an import and thinking it is worth much.

It's kind of like book collecting...the first editions or original pressings are the ones that have value.  Imported imitations are worth only what it is worth to you to hang up somewhere.

That one? I got both the big ones for $5 on eBay about a year n' a half ago. Mine's an original from 1987 though, yours is most likely a reprint.
