Does no opener mean that Axl will hit the stage at 11pm instead of midnight?

Has anyone booked a hotel room around the Venue thru Priceline? I used that for the NYC shows and ended up getting a great deal. Just wondering what hotels they use around there and what prices anyone paid

Since BART is sorta out of the question for this event, does anyone know where parking will be available?  If so, do you know how hard it should be to find it?

Is this venue extremely strict against smoking inside?

At the Hammerstein in New York, if they saw you light up, you were gone before you could take the first drag from your smoke.. Undecided

I've definately been there when there was alot of substance being smoked, but I don't know how harsh they are if they catch you.

In general about security:
Every time I've been there its always been a pretty strict pat-down at the entrance(they have a no camera policy for all shows), but security inside always seems nice. I had the security guy in front offer to take pictures of me and my friends with my camera during a show, not a half hour after having to hide it in my bra just to get it in undected. Security near the front was always particularly good, handing out water to the crowd many times. The first show I ever saw there, someone even came around and took drink orders for people.

Well, coming all the way from Canada...I definately don't want to get caught.. rofl

But it is Gn'R, so I really wouldn't be surprised if alot of folks decided to indulge in smoking some "substance." ok

I was down there for a job interview today and scoped out the warfield since its been awhile since i've been there. Theres a parking lot on the street that runs behind the venue, and some more parking lots on surrounding streets. Expect to pay around 15 bucks, there was some less than that, and some more than that, but 15 seemed about average. Theres posters outside the venue promoting upcoming events such as Dragonforce, but I didn't see anything about gnr at all, was a little disappointed to say the least.

I just thought there'd be something. Its the next show there after dragonforce on the 9th, yet not one mention on the marquee or upcoming events board.

Great. Hopefully I'll find something then.  About the Warfield....  I hear there are no seats on the bottom floor.  However, I have lower lodge and it has an assigned space.  I don't imagine that I'll have to tell anyone "hey... would you move? my ticket says I stand there...."

Anyone know if that means that there are seats?

The bottom floor and the lower lodge are not the same. I believe the lower lodge is the lowest part of the balcony, but don't quote me on it. The floor is the bottom-most level of the venue, and it is all general admission. It seems that you have a seat, but a very, very close one. The general floor tickets will say FLOOR for the section/aisle.

I'm in the first row of the lower balcony for this show.  I'm getting even more excited as it approaches.   hihi

How are people getting home from this show? There doesn't happen to be anyone driving near the south end of the city that I could hitch a ride with is there? I'd give gas money and be real quiet.
