They would sell like hot cakes.  And to the poster above, every GN'R album has been released on vinyl.

Nothing beats vinyl.

Yes, I know. I have them all too.

It wasn't directed at you kaasu!  I was just too lazy to look up and see who asked!  hihi

LIES is the only one I don't have on vinyl. I keep thinking about getting it off of eBay. Anyone know anywhere else good to check for vinyl?

Can somebody do me a favor and explain to me whats the difference between vinyl, lp, regular CD... whatever..

i always hear it being discussed and i never know what the difference is...? ? Huh

Vinyl = a record (LP or 7, 10, 12" single)
LP = a full long playing record.
Regular CD = the full long playing album on Compact Disc

Vinyl sounds a little more warmer and fuller than compact disc which has come a long way in it's own right in the past 20 years.  CDs used to sound like utter shit in the 80s (for example check out the first issue of Metallica's Master of Puppets)  It sounds like it is playing in a trash can.  Most bands release their stuff on vinyl in a very limited release for the diehard fans and audiophiles (the music version of a pedophile).  Vinyl lost a lot of ground in the 90s, but now is making a slow and steady comeback because of it being "cool" to collect records now.  I still have a nice collection of vinyl from the 80's and recently locked onto a pawn shop that bought a bunch of mint condition classics and I bought them all from the dude for $1 a piece (including a majority of the Dylan and Bowie catalog).

I always buy releases that I highly anticipate on vinyl  so i hope so. Not every release is released on vinyl so hopefully they do it. I thik they will. It's a major thing so it woudln't make sense not to.

"Vinyls sound softer than cd's, so it's more comfortable for human ears.."

That's what an expert said last night on Finnish TV-channel Tongue I think he's right though..

Vinyl would be great and I am sure that it will be released on vinyl.

I hope that they release it in the proper DVD-AUDIO format with enhanced lossless audio (not DUAL-DISC) that would be nice.

Video:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/default.stm

from the BBC:
Vinyl singles are making a comeback, with sales pushing past the one million mark for the first time in eight years.  The increase has been attributed to the growing number of teenagers buying seven-inches. Jon Brain reports.

maybe CD should be non cd and vinyl only  Grin
