One cool thing is a least theyy're playing 20 songs(six solos/jams is way way too much, next Tommmy and Brain will being doing solos). thye really should be throwing in some new stuff though or at least some different illusion stuff. I really don't get what's going on. maybe there's a method to all this Huh

What the hell? Why do all of you seem to hate the set list? They change up a few songs. Its not like your attending every show!! Besides most artists don't change it up at all or very little!!
You people are never happy!! Always going to bitch about something! Just sit back and injoy the ride, for once!!!!!!!!!!!Damn!

I went to 2 gigs and it was 2 really different shows.

1st show : paris ... long solos, madagascar ... great audience. Loud Crowd.
2nd show : Wembley 1st show ... no long solos (god save the queen played), 3 new covers songs (sailing ....) Rocket Queenn ...

so stop bashing the Playlist !!!
Each gig is really unique.

There were less long and boring solos at the Wembley gig than in Paris? good to know it. I thought it was the same evreywhere. lol.
I should have gone to the London show instead, if only I knew... anyway.

What is going on with all the setlist? BORING! Boring in the sense that a ?new album is "supposed" to be right around the corner and these guys are more and more starting to look like a cover band. Also whats' with all the damn solos? Dizzy's doing solos now? Solos kill the flow of the show in my opinion. ?Whatever. how does the band sound tonight? anybody know? If they sound tight at least thats' a ?positive.

Solos are necessary to REST the vovalist's voice for a few minutes....IF you will think back Matt AND Slash BOTH did solos............

and If you think the setlist is boring....hey, I have an idea....come up with a NEW one..............all by your fucking self, submit it in  triplicate and inset it where the sun don't shine

Haha... maybe that's what GNR is waiting for. They want the world record secured, then they'll move on.

Good sign they played 4 new songs in back-to-back shows.

Regarding solos...........
I'm sure all GNR fans would rather "put up with" some of the best guitarists in the world performing solos as opposed to Axl blowing out his voice and then NO TOUR AT ALL.

They are some of the best rock musicians in the world.? I'm sure they are putting on the best show that they are capable of putting on.

There also seems to be a belief that most fans do not like the solos.? I love them all and would not want them sacrificed for one more song added to the setlist.

GNR plays balls to the wall rock 'n' roll throughout the majority of their set.? Even pro athlestes need breaks (halftime.....timeouts).? Why not these guys??

I'd actually like to see LALD and KOHD be put in the vault and never played again live.? Instead of complaining about it over and over and over again, I'd rather be appreciative that they are back on the road instead of focusing on things I could whine and complain about relentlessly.

Some of you would probably have better days if you tried something new......gratitude.

That actually looks like a GREAT set list to me. Maddy, IRS, Blues, Better- and a couple "hidden gems" like "Used to Love Her" and "Out Ta Get Me"- which are not necessarily "givens" (although frequently played) when you see a GN'R show. Not bad.

Didn't Axl say that the band has either decided and/or has been advised that they need to "make it feel like old GN'R" as much as possible? The set list, ditching Bucket and adding Ron, Finck's new "look", having Izzy and Seb around etc. are all part of that process.

So, after every GN'R show in this warm-up gigs we'll have those kind of whinning posts? Tongue

Oh, and if by October 20th they put the same setlist (wich would be not surprising, hence what Axl said), someone should make a thread only to bitch, bash and whine, so we could avoid this kind of lame shit.

Did they wear the same clothes?

Axl started off with a white tshirt that said "Youth for Assasination" or something like that. Then after that he put on hte leather black jacket for a bit, as well as his cutoff sleeves shirt for a couple songs.

uhmmm ...

WOW , they have never played a setlist like this before !! ?Grin
BUT THANKX !!

CMON Axl , try to give something NEW to your fans ... ( NEW Album , NEW Set List ... , New Songs ... )

So you have 29 posts as of my reply, and as far as I can tell, every one of them says exactly the same thing with minor variations. To begin with, I don't agree with the sentiment, but is it really necessary to repeat yourself ad nauseum? We already have some people one the board who write this exact post 5x a day - the last thing we need is another one.
