The bands had enough time to learn a couple more songs we didn't hear in Europe, here's hoping they will, I'm going to have a guess that Catcher might be played if a new song is played. I don't think TWAT will be though sadly. It'lll be interesting to see if CD (the song) makes the setlist.
I never really got much into the song C.D.. but it does make a nice encore opening track with it's new intro...
It would be sweet to see C.D/random song/then Paradise City close the shows from now on.
I think a lot of people are basing no new songs will be played because they believe the band hasn't rehearsed at all in their time off... I don't know if that's true or not.
No I certainly won't be surprised if nothing different from europe is played tonight but in terms of time the bands had plenty since the final UK show to learn/rehearse at least one new song before these shows. As to whether they will I'm unsure, it would be good but I won't hold my breath, if one is played like I said I'm guessing CITR.
I'm not a huge fan of CD the song either it's ok but nothing remarkable, I agree with you on the encore opener bit. I'm just surprised they don't play it more given the title of the song and it's connection to the album etc.

Axl is going to announce that CD is out tomorrow! Then BH comes on stage and kills a chicken while playing a guitar doodle.
No seriously, I can tell you that nothing's going to happen. It's the same setlist, maybe some new solos in it. But the tour shirts will be brand new!

New tour, hopefully new songs... I'll be happy if we get You're Crazy, Riyadh & TWAT, to tell you the truth...
Riyadh shouldn't be anywhere near CD imo it's no more than filler, and You're Crazy is more AFD unless it replaces an AFD track then I don't think that's the way to go either. It's time to play quality new material and sell it to the crowd with an album supposedly so close introducing more AFD and poor new songs I think would be a step back imho.

when i saw Dizzy with HnB last month, the drummer told me Dizzy was going back for rehearsals after the HnB jaunt, so it definetly happened.
Now-as to whether we'll hear anything new? im inclined to think no, though hoepfully TWAT will find its place in the setlist again...but then again, didnt Axl say they had 6 or 7 new songs to rotate into the set as the tour progresses?

I predict the band cover "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers, and Buckethead comes out wearing a Kenny Rogers Chicken bucket on his head.

I predict that there will be nothing new.
BUT it will be the best Vegas show in the 21st Century of GNR!
Oh & Axl will get so wasted, that he;ll miss the second night & the tour will be canceled & he'll run another 3 year hiatus!

That was just a guy who posted info on another music board, that wasnt gnr related, and never had no reason to lie for attention, hell people laugh at you there if you like gnr. I posted what he said and put "rumor". To this day he still maintains someone in his family who works for mtv told him that. *shrugs* To the rumor of Guns N Roses rehearsing the song Prostitute at sound check... I know the supposed lyrics to prostitute posted in this tread are bullshit..because someone connected with the band told me so.... Therefore, the story that they were rehearsing a song with those words can't be true.

Dude, why don't you just say you emailed them to merck or mysteron or whoever and quit pretending you're some kind of inside source
I HATE WANNABE INTERNET CELEBRITIES
EDIT: not to mention, the lyrics I posted and the lyrics heard at the door were from 2 different people and the only thing they had in common was that they rhymed

I am at a Kinkos about two blocks from the Hardrock.
I was just at the corner by the HR and (I shit you not) saw Robin Finck. I was yelling at Mrs. Punk "Holy shit that is Robin!!" at first she didn't think it was, then I rolled down my window and yelled "Robin!!" And he looked up and waved. I said "Thanks for NYC, and we'll be seeing you tonight." He gave back a great big smile and walked (unnoticed by the people around him) right into the Hardrock casino. I still can not get over it. My wife grabbed the camera, but by the time I could pull around he was already in the building. Too crazy! This happened just about 5 o'clock.
In other news I can not find or have heard from Kujo. Last I talked to him was yesterday and his phone goes directly to voicemail. I have his ticket (I bought three) with me and don't know what to do. I am starting to get worried about him now. I actually came in to Kinkos to check my messages, thinking maybe he lost his phone or something. He said his flight was supposed to get into LV last night around 11:30. I still can't believe I haven't heard from the guy yet.

Awesome! I am so jealous of you guys that made it to Vegas! I hope you have a kick ass time. The last time I was at the Hard Rock there I got pics with both Rob Zombie and Jerry Cantrell within like 10 minutes of each other. It was crazy!
If see Mr. Finck again, tell him I said hi!
