Why the gap?  Something must be going to happen during those 2 weeks because it doesnt make any sense to start a leg of a tour and then take a break 2 weeks into it. Maybe they are going to fill it with dates that just havent been finalized yet.  Anybody got any ideas?

Oh man this sucks!! first looking forward to the shows in NY

then Lisbon (i went!!)
then wembley 30th (i went!!)
then VMA's
then 16th this month
and now this again!!

I did some math...
the gap is oct.5 - oct 20th.

it would be unwise to start selling tickets for a show less than 3-4 weeks ahead.
that makes the oct 5th-oct 10th highly unprobable since it's only 20-25 days left.
the oct 10th- oct 20th has some chance of filling up, but 25-35 days is a little time to sell out a show.

I give a 20-30% chance of a date in the oct 5 - oct 10 period
a 30% - 50% chance of a oct 5th-oct 15th dates.
and  50% chance of a show in the oct 15th - oct 20th period.

Maybe Tommy has a couple of gigs with Soul Asylum in that gap...

And Dizzy will naturally book some HnB-gigs also. 


For real, I would like to see something BIG happen in that gap... 

But I have a bad feeling that in GnR-world it could be just that it's a gap because...  it's a gap.

As far as I'm concerned, they'd had years of downtime from GNR (yes, I'm ignoring their other projects). And another month and a half between the end of Euro tour and first US date.
