Ya the tour start date was a bit of a suprise.so we did get a date just not one some wanted.

You could see after he did the scream,he was kind of waiting and the response wasn't what he hoped. He looked really uncomfortable.

So now we can take it the shows before hand are warm-ups,Arco arena in sacramento is a big gaff to have a warm up show.?

I don't follow MTV in any way these days. Does MTV really count for much? the whole rap music scene is not for me either. MTV over the past 10 years always seems so plastic..

I thought the gesture he made to do the intro after meeting the Killers was a nice thing to do. He put himself in a situation where ?he wasn't necessarily his most comfortable and did something for someone else...I don't think (if I was him) I would have done the scream (lame) it's like if Keanu Reeves went up there and did his Ted "Whoa" from the Bill and Ted movie... hihi But it was an okay 30 seconds ok I'm sure the Killers appreciated it.

I can't belive people are happy about what went down tonight. He didn't tell us anything we didn't already know.

He confirmed the plan still is to release Chinede Democracy this year. How many were wondering about the release date until last night?

He mentioned the tour starting on October 24th. I bet you didn't know that date.

Now you don't need to come up with your theories about what might happen. Now you got to hear it from Axl himself.

/jarmo

Nobody could have said it better.....

You got tour info and you got assurances that the album is still on pace for this year.  Remember, by the calender, "late fall" (his previous assertion), gives him until December. Smiley

Is there a video of the interview with Norris backstage where he talks about the release? I think Axl did fine....the scream did catch people off guard but he still has "presence"....much more than the rest of the garbage bands and dorks. The Dylan commercial was the coolest thing of the night! Grin The Killers actually sounded damn good as well. Now there is a band who should open for Gnr. I like their style. beer

I think Jack Blacks intro of him,  "A man who once welcomed you to the jungle" and the song as the intro gave him the idea.  He got some claps after the "do you know where the fuck you are"   Come on it was good to see Axl out and about.  So what if he has a high pitched scream, you think he really did a vocal warmup?  Chill.

Uggh, I watch 4 hours of crap & goto bed only to miss an interview.. ? crying ?I'll have to watch a clip online.. Anyway, I stated yesterday I'd get preliminary ratings in this morning, not that it's all that relevant.. It seemed it did pretty bad, again I don't have previous years to compare it to, but it only did a 4 (which comes out to roughly 4 million households) ?It did do an 11 share, which means 11% of people watching TV were watching the VMA's.. OK, but not great. I'm sure little of this wwas made up of ppl watching solely to see Axl. Probably just me and a few of you all. ?hihi

BTW - When did new music get soo bad?? ?Angry
