Don't forget that "catastrophic" can be used positively aswell as negatively....though I think in this case Axl knows that the 02 VMA performance wasn't exactly his best!

In 2002 Kurt Loder said is it coming out soon, and Axl replied I wouldn't say soon is the word. He never said it was coming soon. And now he tells us this year, in May, and after no news of it, he confirms it again saying it will come out this year. I will trust Axl, and finally accept the album is coming out and if not, well I'll be dissappointed, but I'm gonna start telling everyone its finally coming out! ?

The interview went too fast for me -- my internet connection wasn't very good. ?He did say something about doing some shows before the California date, but I didn't catch whether he mentioned October or not. ?Sorry. ?I'd like to watch the interview again if anyone has recorded it. ?

What would be tacky about that? The fact that the media could pick up on the story tomorrow? Or the fact that now , the stories will talk about how Axl just keeps on promising the album with no actual release date?

that's a way to look at it. In 1999 Axl said simply "we're not working on all this to keep it buried", then in 2002 he said "you'll see it, don't know if soon is the word", it seems he's been telling the truth, let's hope he's being true now

I really can't believe Axl would come to this shitty event to introduce the Killers.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I think the Killers are pretty good. I'd rather Axl introduce them than someone like Panic! At the Disco!
