I think there maybe a TV commercial announcing the release date and a live performance of the first single to end the night . I don't think Axl will actually make the announcment while giving out an award..... i hope not cuz its gonna look cheezy.....

That's the whole reason to why he's showing up in the first place.? I know in a earlier post I stated about maybe a medley I was alittle overboard on that topic.? Seriously why whould he even wanna make a appearence and give out a award.? Duh cause GnR is back and he's gonna promote the hell out of U.S. Tour and the new CD.? Axl said fall late fall so now its almost sept and he's gonna tell the world that the album will be coming out and what better place to do that when millions of fans are watching the VMA's.? Im so excited that my favorite band is back and it might not be the orginal but its BETTER than nothing.? CHINESE DEMOCRACY STARTS NOW !!!!! FINALLY.

Just thinking, there are alot of idiots that get tickets for the VMA's, I can see it now people shouting for Slash.. I hope Axl keeps he's cool. We don't need any negative press.

im pretty sure people near the front row of the stage are handpicked and given strict orders not to fuck around and only cheer positivly by MTV.

theres a chance, but im sceptical - its a great opportunity, in fact - will he get a better opportunity than this with such a massive global audience?

the best way would be if there was a little mini-doco tracking the history of it followed by some live fottage of the euro tour and then the release date followed by Axl walking out to present the award - just imagine the response

I don't think he's worried about being rude.  That's the smallest of the factors that would determine whether to make the announcement or not.

on a serious note.... i dont think we'll be too disappointed on w/e happens at the VMAs, as long as hes there.

axl will be dating one of those matchstick girls... Nicole richie is a bag of bones...

I'm sure if axl picks his nose we'll be like yeah that rocked..

I just hope he mentions the album ,.the exposure he gets for months with the vmas endless replays.. He had so many chances, vmas 02, rio 3, hammerstein the eruopean tour..

On 5/14, the second Guns and Roses show, Axl was introducing Sebastian Bach by saying "Someone who's always been there for me...an old friend" and someone shouted out "SLASH!!!"...Axl kept his cool and just said, "Don't go that crazy."

So I think if someone shouts out anything at him, he'll probably just ignore it
