Hoping for an "announcement" of some sort really is the definition of wishful thinking. It's just not realistic at all.

The most that will happen is someone will interview him and he will not give any more of a specific statement about the album other than "it will be out this year".

anyway, that was great he was interviewed, but if that was only on the special backstage feed, i wonder if that will be published elsewhere or eventually surfacing as an mtv news clip or something

I really like the Killers, it seems Axl enjoys them now too (at least from what he said in the interview). It's weird to think of Axl presenting something, I had that thought before and he said the same in the interview

Some one, please tell me a time and place that Axl could announce the album that would get the band more coverage than this? I would love to hear it. I guess I am not a "fan" because this "announcement" still leaves me skeptical.
