I have their first 3 albums, and my favourite is definitely
Master of Reality
. I like all of the songs...there's less filler. I'm so sick of the songs on
Paranoid
like "Iron Man" and "War Pigs" that are so overplayed, although the title track will always have a special place in my heart. The debut is cool, because it's bluesy and "N.I.B." is one of my favourite Sabbath tunes.

I do Love Black Sabbath , its worth to say That Black Sabbath Was OZzy ,Bill Ward, Tommy And Geezer , i really dont care about their other vocalist , that aint Black Sabbath.
Well back to the topic, My favorite album is Sabotage , i don't know, every Sabbath Album is the best in their own special way, so i cant really say this one is my favorite , but Sabotage is their most underated album imo.

What about 80's Ozzy Osbourne? I'm not making fun of you or anything but I've read that his first 2 albums were good and that was it.

I don't take ozzy albums too seriously...some of those albums are great "pop" albums, like bark at the moon and ultimate sin..

I don't know, I think I like Ozzy's solo stuff more than his work with Black Sabbath. He strikes that perfect balance between 80s pop metal and heavier stuff. And there's more ballads and depth to the music, probably because he has better guitar players.

Yeah, I've given the first 8 albums a listen and these are my decisions:
Black Sabbath (1970):
I like Black Sabbath & that 14 1/2 minute song; they are really cool.
Paranoid (1971):
This album is really cool. War Pigs, Paranoid, Iron Man, are you kidding me? These are like my favorite songs on here.
Master of Reality (1971):
I love the first track Sweet Leaf along with Children of the Grave and After Forever. This is probably my 2nd favorite behind Paranoid.
Volume 4 (1972):
On this one I love Changes, Tomorrow's Dream and Snowblind. There are a couple other songs I like too.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (1973):
I haven't listened to this one as much but I really like the title track "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath."
Sabotage (1975):
On this one I enjoy listening to The Writ, Am I Going Insane? and Hole In The Sky.
Technical Esctasy (1976):
This is another way I haven't listened to too much (cause of Paranoid) but I do really enjoy It's Alright, even though I like the G'NR Version better.
Never Say Die! (1978):
I just can't bear to listen to this one. This was clearly their downfall.

hmmm...skill wise Ozzy has had some of my favorites. I prefer Zakk to randy rhodes as much as great a sacrilege as that may be to some. But I think credit has to be given to Tony Iommi for coming up with some really amazing riffs on the first sabbath albums. I have always read that Geezer and Iommi did all the writing, with geezer mostly doing lyrics. Some of it is kind of basic like symptom of the universe but still so fucking great.

Ive stopped using the Ozzfest thread since its over.so im gonna use this to post all the news about Ozzy,Sabbath and Sabbath Members
So Here We Go
OZZY OSBOURNE and his solo band ? including guitarist Zakk Wylde and drummer Mike Bordin ? made a "surprise" appearance tonight (Sept.
in Foxboro, Mass., as part of ABC's "NFL Kickoff" show leading into the season opener between the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders at Gillette Stadium. Wearing a Patriots jersey, Ozzy performed "Crazy Train" from atop the New England Patriots football helmet while the team came running through onto the field.
I will post pictures of this wonderful sight of seeing Zakk & Ozzy Together again soon

ContactMusic.com is reporting that Ozzy Osbourne is desperate to record an album of acoustic ballads but record company bosses won't take him seriously unless he's the "Prince of Darkness."
The BLACK SABBATH frontman is keen to show off other aspects of his musical ability, but fears he'll have to keep recording heavy metal tunes until his dying day.
Osbourne says, "Trying to get away from the Prince of Darkness is the hardest f**king thing.
"I'd like to sing songs that are mellower. I'd like to do an acoustic album. I don't want to be screaming when I'm 60.
"But all the record company is interested in is my looking like a f**king madman with cherry juice running down my face."

He asks for it, though. His cheesy 80's albums show him as the Price of Darkness, and that's what his stupid fans expect from him now, and stupid record execs don't know about his mellow songs with Sabbath in the 70's. That's what he gets for making reality TV shows and letting Sharon abuse Iron Maiden. Karma.
