Anyone ever wonder why the old lineup only did one "hooooooooome" in the middle and the new lineup do it twice like it was on the album??

Vocally demanding

Not compared to some of the other stuff in the set.

The end of the show and after he does 4 verses and 4 chorus lines....absolutely demanding......Don't believe me....try doing it yourself. Not at all easy bro.. peace

Right. So my question is why they didn't they do it before but they do it now?
Mic packs can do wonders....

What are you talking about? Please define this term "mic packs" - do you mean in-ear monitors?? Anyway, I'm not saying it's easy "bro," but it's much easier than some of the other sections of a GNR set, since it's only holding a C# for a few seconds - not a challenging note for Axl, and not including any difficult vowels or consonants. If anything, a straight up note like that should be an opportunity for him to relax his vocal cords.

At a guess I'd say he was implying that Axl uses some sort of lipsynching system for the second one. Hopefully not since you can hear on just about any bootleg from RIR3 on that he does different screams.

No, he NEVER lipsynch's ....that is ridiculous...and there is NO backtracking bullshit either...Basically he uses different vocal mixes for different songs....which is fine...it ain't about holding the note.....it is about being in tune and not blowing your voice out since the song is already demanding vocally....He can get away with doing it twice now with the help of the assistance he gets at times during the show....It is way too much to explain on here....I would have to be verbally communicating with someone so they could understand.? I know someone on here sings and could explain it in a more simple manner...

It would be nice to do that and would add to the night.

But AXL does say thank you many times throughout the night (you can hear it twice on RAR 06 dvd) and you can just see and sense that he appreciates the fans that show up and support the band. ?beer

Well, I do and I have had some training, but I'm still not totally sure what you're talking about. Obviously, his technique is different/better now, so it saves his voice, and having an in-ear monitor probably allows him to hear himself more clearly so he doesn't push his voice as hard,  but as far as the difference between doing something that simple once or twice, I don't really think it matters(like I said at the beginning of this discussion). PC is one of the easier songs in the GNR canon in terms of range and intensity, and I'm sure that figures into why it's used as a closer so often. Since this obviously isn't working without specifics, let me point out that the note at the end of PC is nowhere near as demanding as many of the parts in Jungle, It's So Easy, Night Train, My Michelle, SCOM, YCBM, Rocket Queen, LALD(although the note he holds on the word "hell" is very similar), etc. I can be even more specific if you want, but that might get boring, even for me.

That's not really what I meant...or what I am trying to explain.....like I said...it has to be explained in person

off topic: for those of you who continually complain about "lame topics", how about you just ignore the ones you don't like then? Or better yet, come up with something better for all of us to talk about!

On topic: Ok cool. Let's assume he "feels like doing it", the question is why didn't he ever do it before the new lineup.

he should keep to one "home" because the first one has to bit a bit gay so he can nail the second one.

No offense intended, but what is the point of this? Send the script to GNR management if you feel that strongly about it.

I'm sure Axl is going to say what he wants when he wants to say it, and I'm pretty sure he can figure that kind of stuff out without assistance.

Who is Axl's management now? Manager? Merck something? Out of NY?

Yes, Skinflick knows, but in order to find out, you have to pass a rigoruos screening process and delousing and he may kill you after telling you. Or your head might explode because it's so amazingly mind-blowing! Or none of the above - it's all very secretive - it can never be written down!

Seriously, I'm going with the guy(or girl) who said "because Axl feels like it."
