Do you think it'll be announced by the record co.?  Or by the artist?
(Who traditionally handles that?)
Do you think it will be a statement released to the media (press release)
Do you thin there will be a press conference?
An MTV News special?
or do you think that one day real soon...   you will get on your computer...
gnronline is going to load.... and then there it is for all the world to discover?

I have NO idea...   The press release seems par for the GN'R course.

so what do you guys think it will be?
and what would YOU like to see....?

Well read on newgnr.com that:

"I just heard on the radio about three hours ago that Axl might be sueing Geffen because they won't release Chinese Democracy, supposibly because it sucks according to 100.3 WHEB. The greatest hits album is supposibly the replacement. I'm not sure how true it is but its the first I've heard in a while about GNR on this station. Hopefull its bullshit."

here is the link: http://www.newgnr.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=4074

Maybe it could never be released if it's true...
now, if it's bullshit, I think more news will be available around Rio.

MTV news special?

Press conference?

You're kidding, right?

Press release from the record company would be the smart bet.

I hope something very, very big. really. The black and white screen on MTV with "Guns" "N" "Roses" Chinese Democracy" "comming soon" would be the perfect thing. no sound. I hope this new band will be huge.
Fortus can bring a lot of people to this new Guns n' Roses. Fortus has all to be a Superstar: the "Rock n' Roll" attitude, the talent, the feeling and the look. He is the perfect guy for this band. I would have loved to see him play with Slash in the band. He is the most attractive new member so far.

Do you mean that either of those things are too far fetched?  or do you mean that either of those things would not be a good way to do it?  What do you mean? Huh

Cuz.. uh.. no I wasn't kidding. Angry

I'm happy Richard will be bringing the 11 Love Spit Love fans with

Yes, I believe a press conference (with Axl) and an MTV News special are far fetched.

Any mode of promotion involving Axl and an open forum of questioning is highly unlikely.

well, Richard Fortus WILL bring a lot of people to the band, trust me, he is already a superstar for me. However, fink and buckethead could destruct nearly all that potencial of new fans. They are certainely among the less attractive people in the whole music industry (maily because of their terrible looks). they are the perfect anti-success kind of guys. I just hope fortus will bring more new fans that fink and buckethead will "destruct".

What kind of crap is this? They all have something that will bring new fans to the group. You sound like a record exec for a boy band!

Back on topic...I hope we hear something in the next few weeks like Mysteron said.

Come out with a kickass single. Maybe a video as well?
gnronline is updated.

Dude, Besides being a session player, Richard's onlyclaim to fame is Love Spit Love's cover of The Smiths "How Soon Is Now" featured on the soundtrack the movie "The Craft".

That's it.

I find your fixation on GNR'sthird guitarist a little more than weird, basing his relevence to the band solely on his "look" while denegrating the look and stage presence of his bandmates.

May I suggest you start a Richard Fortus website to fulfill whatever whacky notion you have in regards to his place in all things New GNR...

it'll probably be a big press release, and i'm thinking closer to the release date than would be expected. hopefully after that, MTV and other places pick up on it and consider it news (which they should, since it is big news.)
i'm tired of hearing that chinese democracy is going to suck. the songs we've heard already would be good enough for a decent rock album, that any record company should want to put out, and you know none of those songs will be the big first single they must be planning.
i am however getting more and more worried. i'll be devestated if we see the same old set at RIR and axl says nothing other than some lame "we'll be back next year with a new record," or something. i want to see it soon... there's no better time to release this than within the next few months. the audience is there.

After which he would promptly fall flat on his ass, revealing his goolies to the world. A cameraman takes a snap, and Axl goes over and uses Bucketheads nunchuckas to beat the stuffing out of him.

He then becomes national news, and is a recognised badass once again.

For gawds sake...

Some of u seem to think anything Axl touches turns to gold. Are u talking about Fortus or Jimi Hendrix in the above? Roll Eyes
