fuck, that's brilliant! i couldn't recognize dizzy's voice.... i wasn't expecting to be so good!
dizzy should release a cd solo like tommy.
to be honest this incarnation of gn'r has the most talented musicians ever. tommy's solo effort blows any solo effort frm any other gn'r member, past or present. and if dizzy were to do the same i guess he could just as easly deliever something just as tasteful.
long live gn'r, in whatever form it may be...

I doubt it.

Am I the only one who thinks this song is very average? (The solo is cool.  Cool)

Good song overall, nothing extraordinary but good.

OMG i love it.   Now I see the director hasn't officially released this.  He entered it into Sundance 2005 but I guess it wasn't picked up for major release.   That's too bad.   I see the guy is trying to get a Netflix deal but that was dated Dec.2005.  So my question is...is the movie released now on DVD?  Will it be coming out?

Dizzy sounds amazing.  I listened to The Air...and also Silent Light.  Is Dizzy singing that too..I was trying to look for song credits.   WOW, I really am impressed.   Not only does the soundtrack sound amazing but the movie looks really good.

On a side note, I see one of the Nelson is a part of this...hmmm I wonder if Axl got mad at Dizzy for working with him??   Joke hihi

That's awesome.   I have to admit..I never, ever gave any of Dizzy's solo projects even a listen.  This is a pleasant surprise.  So CB do you know what the deal is with the movie or even the soundtrack?

mmm. I wonder how much Diz has contributed to CD

None of his ideas are used.

But it's ultimately a collaborative effort Smiley

As far as I know, Joel (the director of the movie) is still looking for distrubution and he has it submitted to several festivals. And Im assuming the soundtrack will be coming out sometime  I just have no idea when.

Waiting for Promised Land....

« Reply #37 on: February 04, 2006, 04:16:36 PM »

That is Dizzy singing on the song.  As far as the lead or rhythm guitar parts, I asked Joel Miller what Dizzy did for the song, at least the recording that is on MySpace, and he said he sang and played piano.  I asked Joel about the guitar parts on the song, and I'll let everyone know what he says about that.

Like chineseblues said, Joel is looking for distribution for the film still.  He has submitted it to a bunch of festivals.  I know he put out some feelers for distribution of the soundtrack, but I don't think anything definitive has happened yet.

Just FYI, Dizzy and Joel Miller will be collaborating on songs for a film that starts shooting at the end of this month, called "The Iron Man".  Which is not to be confused with the Marvel Comics hero, Iron Man.  It's not that.

I saw that, but she said he recorded the original at home.  By that, I thought she meant the original demo version.  We'll see.
