I think your talking about Steve Austin or Austin Stevens "snakemaster" another reptile guy who was bite by a Cobra and used a venom pump to suck it out. thats another reptile guy on Animal planet.
Definately not Steve Austin! It may have been the other guy, but I was pretty sure looking back that it was Steve Irwin. You've put doubt in my mind now as i'm famed for my bad memory.

I was shocked and saddened by his death. I never really watched his show, but I always loved watching his appearances on Jay Leno and Conan O'brien. His energy, enthusiasm, and love for what he did are unmatched by anyone. But at least he died doing what he loved to do, he said during his life that he wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

I've read now that they are going to broadcast the video of his death. It was his wish and the family members are not going to go against it.
My guess is it will be shown on TV in the UK and Austrailia, but that the US will censor it.
I'm morbidly curious, it's my nature. I think the whole thing is tragic though
He brough conservation to the masses like no other.
RIP

I was do a search on google checking out the rumor that the video will be shown. I typed in "Steve Irwin Video" and this is what shows up as the 3rd news item:
'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin dies, Al Qaeda official captured
Might want to proof read these things

I heard on the radio this morning that he would possibly be alive today if he hadn't pulled the barb out of his chest.. Again, it was something on the radio, but apparently he was very much alive until he himself pulled the barb out of his chest..
If that's true, he might have been saved had he left it in there. BTW, I have a pic that I did in his honor yesterday on my blog:

He will be missed..

He died instantly after, the poison sent him into cardiac arrest.
At least he didn't suffer.

Actually, they said it would have been one of the most painful experiences ever, because you are alive for a short while afterwards and can feel the poison taking effect. He also pulled the barb out of his chest which must have hurt like a bitch.

Steve said if he ever died to keep filming it so the footage wouldn't go to waste. I really hope the footage of him getting stung by the stingray surfaces soon!
Totally lame............

Huh? What, it's lame that he wanted them to release footage if he ever died? Well, I can see where he's coming from. I don't think it's "lame," and I think it's kind of disrespectful to say something like that after the guy died.
