Oh man I'm stunned? no When I was younger I always used to watch his show, Can't believe he died like that....rip mate Cry,?

Oh and here's a picture of stingray's barb:

Apparently he didn't get killed while shooting a documentary for himself but He had been filming a segment for his daughter Bindi's upcoming television series, how sad is that? no He's only the second person ever to die from a stingray attack

Yes its sad that he died, but he knew the risks of what he was doing. Yes he did alot of good things for Australia wild life but what does that do for his wife and children now?

It's obviously not my job to judge anyone, but he was already in a very dangerous career to begin with, and in alot of the shows I watched he seemed to take more chances than necessary. Just seemed a bit irresponsible to continue to take such risks knowing he had children that would probably like to grow up knowing their father.

Just my opinion.

Hence the "Just my opinion" comment.

So are you saying its o.k. to put his work over the long term well being of his family?

That is true 2NaFish, there are risks in any career. I believe the man was very knowledgeable about what he did for a living. I just think he took some unnecessary risks whether it be because he was an adrenaline junkie, or he actually believed he could anticipate every move that these wild animals would make. To take an already dangerous career and make it even more dangerous with your actions, in my opinion, is irresponsible when you have a family to consider.

His wife was on the show because she worked at the site with him, doesn't mean she agreed or disagreed with the extremes he would take. None of us can know what she thought about it.

well His wife Terri once said, "The only thing that could ever keep him away from the animals he loves are the people he loves even more"

also another quote from her from Wikipedia:
"We don't drink, we don't smoke, and we are actually in love and happily married. We love our little girl, we go home to each other at night, and we believe in what we are doing,"
"Say my husband had a dangerous job and I wasn't with him, I don't know how you go, 'Oh honey, how was it with the police department today? You got all your fingers and toes today?' It would scare me. I'd have to become a police officer and work with him; I couldn't do it."

Both Terri and Steve felt that their love for wildlife and their dedication to spreading the "conservation" message is a 24/7 duty. For example, the Irwins spent their 10th wedding anniversary helping Indonesian elephants.

I remember the first time I saw him on TV... ?Cry RIP, Steve.

Apparently he didn't get killed while shooting a documentary for himself but He had been filming a segment for his daughter Bindi's upcoming television series, how sad is that? no

Imagine that. It's a burden his daughter will carry for the rest of her life. Even though it wasn't her fault.

That report is false, unless he had kids from a previous marriage. His kids with his current wife are only 2 and 8 years old.
