VELVET REVOLVER's SCOTT WEILAND To Present At FASHION ROCKS - Sep. 2, 2006 ?
According to RCA Records, VELVET REVOLVER frontman Scott Weiland (ex-STONE TEMPLE PILOTS) will be one of the presenters at this year's Fashion Rocks. The event takes place on September 7 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and will be broadcast by CBS-TV on September 8 at 9:00 p.m. EST.
VELVET REVOLVER drummer Matt Sorum recently told ABC Radio's ePrep that the band is on track to have its sophomore album, tentatively titled "Libertad", in stores in the spring. No producer has been chosen at this point, but the group has been speaking with Rick Rubin (AUDIOSLAVE, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, SLAYER, SLIPKNOT), hoping to get him to come on board for the project.
