As much as I dig his new style, I gotta say his shoes suck.
Especially the red pair.

I've thought that for years! Does he still have all his old clothes? I wonder if he has them in his regular closet, or if he keeps all that stuff kept away in a locked closet never to be worn again.... (in which case he should bring em along to gigs and chuck em into the crowd! Someone'll go home with a fetching pair of US flag lycra bike shorts! )

I'm in two minds about these shoes... I think they go well with his new style, and they're very sophisticated, but they don't seem like suitable shoes for running around onstage in. Perhaps that's why he doesn't run around so much anymore... he really loves these shoes, but they look to be the kinda shoe that doesn't allow for much running around...
I think he should bring out the cowboy boots again...

Anyway, I don't think that the shoes are the reason for not to run around the stage. If Axl would like to run all the time (not saying he couldn't with the shoes he's using now), he would wear different shoes.

I know what you're sayin Kaasu... but whenever I think about the shoes, I just keep imagining that slight discomfort you get when tryin' on a pair of really stiff brand new shoes and the top part that goes around the ankle digging in slightly...
I think its just because when I see the shoes, they just look so uncomfortable. I wonder if he's not occasionally secretly gritting his teeth in pain because his feet are hurting...

Nike makes custom sneakers for anyone.  You can order them on their website and have what you want put on them.
