No regrets.

'Better' still amazes me everyday and really kept my interest alive. I almost wish Maddy and The Blues studio were leaked before I heard them live so I could really appreciate how great those songs probably are, I can imagine that the live versions just don't do them justice.

Bring on Chinese Democracy!

I absolutley think Axl ok'd those leaks.

No, I just hope none are on there or their bonus tracks and we get 13-14 unheard
Highly unlikely. Chinese democracy will definately be on the album.

I dont regret it at all. Those leaks really were great. They were the best thing that happened in the GNR world in my 3 years of lurking/posting here. Im still gonna love democracy when it comes out. But the leaks were really cool, and i still listen to them all the time.

No regrets. The leaks made the time pass by much faster and embolden my passion for the new band from the nadir that existed when Buckethead left.

Bring it Axl

I absolutley think Axl ok'd those leaks.

Yes there is no question in my mind about that.  He mentions them in the rollingstone interview, then bam! they are the only new songs they've played live after that.

I hate how people can sit here and say:

"Its no AFD or UYI"

HELLO it isnt suppose to be.

This is where fans fuck up and it pisses me off.

It isnt just some GNR fans though.

U go to a Red Hot Chili Pepper forum and people bitch everytime a new album isnt BSSM, I dont go to many message boards but I can imagine its about the same every where else also.

People need to realize that Axl isnt trying to do AFD again, he isnt trying to do UYI again.

The fact someone can say the album wont be better when u havent even heard the fuckin thing yet is extremely ?obtuse. If u already have it judged before u hear it, of course it wont be as good as those albums but the least u could do is give it a fair couple listens.

How the hell can someone form an opinion on an album they havent even heard yet?

WE have heard plenty by now, we've got a pretty good idea now what the album will sound like. It ain't the classic GN'R, and it never will be! But i will buy it and listen to it 50 times a day, just like i do all the new songs. so dont paste me as a "new GN'R" hater cause i'm not. But to think it will be "the same" or "better" or "the best album ever" is just being crazy. I will take AXL singing in any incarnate of GN'R over none at all.

I dont think u are a new gnr hater Im just sayin, listen to the entire album before declaring it isnt on par with AFD or UYI.

If people defeat it before they even hear it then it will have no chance of livin up to the hype.

I have no self control over stuff like this. I suppose I wish only like three songs were eaked and played live so we would have more to look forward to.

I dont regret it, as I fucking love the songs. And it has made me more anxious for the album. But what I'm gonna do is when the release date is announced I am not gonna listen to any of the new material until the album comes out. Except of course the single. That way the songs will sound fresh and new to me all over again. Damn, just talking about having the album is making me so anxious right now.  drool

I may regret not being able to get a full cd of new songs for me to listen to, but the leaks definitely made the world of GNR a lot more exciting when nothing else was going on.  Overall, I think it was worth it.

Better,The Blues and Madagascar are better than every song on AFD except WTTJ,PC,SCOM and RQ in my opinion. Although I would much rather hear Maddy and The Blues over Paradise City.

Heh heh, does the D stand for deaf by any chance?

Just because people aren't on their knees worshipping at the pedestal of AFD doesnt mean they are deaf.

As much as I enjoyed them, I hope with CD seemingly so close, there are no more.. I wouldn't be able to resist listening!
