I absolutely do.

Had I known this really was the time, I would've never listened to any of the leaked songs.

Although the leaks are amazing and I now know Chinese Democracy will be one of the greatest albums ever, It kinda saddens me to think that I've already spoiled half the album.

Anyone else have regrets?

I have no regrets because I got to hear them four times in NYC live. It was nice hearing them a few times before live.  I'm still going to love the cd when it comes out this year.  drool

The leaks were great and they promoted the new band so much that I think that... "it is what should be".

...because CD is still our dream

We dont know for sure what the track list will be but it is very possible that we have heard 8 of the tracks already. Its possible that the songs will sound different than what we heard, but if not, thats the price we all pay for downloading the tracks.

I dont regret it though. They were some of the best songs I've heard in the last 5 years.

Yes getting to hear them play Better and IRS after listening to the leaks nonstop was quite a treat.   I dont regret anything.  I didn't want to listen to it, but being such a hardcore fan, there is no way you can't listen to it.   Its just not possible.

Hell no. We waited what , 10-15 years for new material? I think that the versions on the CD may end up sounding very different from the ones that were leaked anyway. After all the years of no information, there was no way I wasn't going to listen to them. It is pretty obvious that Gn'R were responsible one way or the other for these "leaks" Ever wonder why the only new songs played live were the leaks?

No I dont regret it.  The demos of Better and TWAT are unbelievable, I love the live version of IRS better then the Demo, and the newer versions of CD, Blues, and Madagascar are much better now then in 2002.  So once we have a mastered studio version of these songs plus some ones we never heard, it wont make a difference because CD will be that good.

No regrets.  The leaks served their purpose, and woke the world up to the fact that GnR was back.  To me, hearing the leaks in no way takes away from the excitment of hearning the finished, mastered tracks on the CD for the first time.  I'm thrilled to know that so many solid songs will likely be on the disc, and am psyched  beyond words to hear the non-leaked tracks for the first time as well...

Absolutely not!  It gave us a taste of what was to come, and quite frankly I don't think we could have survived another 7-8 months.  A lot of people would have left.  The leaks were essential and in my opinion, breathed some fresh air into the band and into the fanbase.

No way in hell. Even if the whole album leaked right now, I would download it immediately. I would of course still buy it the day it was released though.

Those leaks are the best music I've heard since Soundgarden released Superunknown. I would never deprive myself of incredible music.

Not in the slightest, there's a reason I didn't download Catcher in the Rye.

I hate how people can sit here and say:

"Its no AFD or UYI"

HELLO it isnt suppose to be.

This is where fans fuck up and it pisses me off.

It isnt just some GNR fans though.

U go to a Red Hot Chili Pepper forum and people bitch everytime a new album isnt BSSM, I dont go to many message boards but I can imagine its about the same every where else also.

People need to realize that Axl isnt trying to do AFD again, he isnt trying to do UYI again.

The fact someone can say the album wont be better when u havent even heard the fuckin thing yet is extremely? obtuse. If u already have it judged before u hear it, of course it wont be as good as those albums but the least u could do is give it a fair couple listens.

How the hell can someone form an opinion on an album they havent even heard yet?

Better,The Blues and Madagascar are better than every song on AFD except WTTJ,PC,SCOM and RQ in my opinion. Although I would much rather hear Maddy and The Blues over Paradise City.

Absolutlely not. My wife probably does since I play them in the house or in my car all the time though! But seriously, these are just the demos and it is always cool to have a demo in addition to the final version. I also think that these songs were leaked intentionally. I believe Axl wanted us to have them.
