Unbelievably, he's better than most rock critics, but that's not saying much. Most rock critics use sentences like "Coldplay's cryptoslavic dispensationalism resides in an esoteric utilization of chromatic progressions actualized by postobjectivist defenestration".
He's bad, but he isn't postmodern bad.
