...ABSURD!!

« on: September 01, 2006, 04:03:01 AM »

Ive ben here for many yrs now, hell been a fan sinvce I was 16, saw GNR first time at Sundance on LI when I was 17. That not being the point.

Now we all are here speculating about the affairs of GNR, as of now, whre they tour , whre they will be next , when the album will come.

For me I think YES fuck yes this is gonna happen.

NOw , hold onnn, we only have west coast dates, (axl says the tour starts Oct 24th),

Tell me for all those who were so lucky to see GNR, who went to multiple shows, (like myself at hammerstein). When was the last time they did a show in cali or the west coast of US , or that matter

Do you think all GNR fans have the means and money to travel to see the band they love, dont you think that there are alot of fans there on that side that would love to see the setlist and show we got, and even to a extent, the set of 2002, (remember they didnt ).

So I think what axl is doin  is fucking awesome, I have no doubt there will be some surprises but at the same time , he now says OCT 24TH, , to me that means thats when it all changes , thats when set lists and such whatever change,

Will it be the release of CD, who knows very well could. BUt at this stage of the game, its is now on Axl, for the first time in all these yrs, hes the one sayng things(and to clarify Im not talking about comments made at shows that most people never saw or heard, Im talking real media stuff that the world saw ), and to a huge audience, in the past I gave the benifit  when shit happened cause most times the story came from 3rd party. BUT THis time Axl is puttig himself on the firing line, and yes as a fan now if he doesnt deliver I will say that is lame. BUt I hardly think that will happen.

Anyway, share your thoughts.
 peace

The last scheduled tour date is on Oct. 5 in San Diego, that gives the band a little over 2 weeks to release a single and announce an album date before going on tour.

I didn't think about that. I was starting to think we were just gonna get the album w/o a single, but when you said that it makes sense that we'd get the single two weeks before the record.

As will all things related to Axl Rose.....who knows  Huh

However, this is a good point.  Maybe this will signify a turning point, to actually move on with the new material.  ok

It'll never be ALL new material.. Not on this tour at least.. Max it'll be 50/50 w/ about 8 new songs, 8 old songs (AFD, UYI).. or 10 & 10 or whatever..

I'm with you, jaz...

There are so many things happen right now... Anyone who says its the whole 2002 bullshit again is nothing but just a negative and hater person who wants to bring down this weird but happy feeling: we're indeed too fucking close.

Great post my friend! beer
