What Neemo said, and, also, it's my favourite Tim Burton film. Granted, I'm not a huge Tim Burton fan, but I do have time for his stuff, and I think that Big Fish is arguably his best film so far.

Well I do like Burton, but I thought this movie was a good change of pace for him. Definitely had his feel to it but not dark and dreery as normal.

This has to be one of McGregors' best roles, either this or Trainspotting.

I was planning on watching Requiem after I watch Jims recommendation this weekend.

Now those 2 guys are good, Buscemi's excellent in fact, i may reconsider, if Bill Paxton was in i'd be there in a second...

Er, Mr. McGregor has done 2 films i like, Trainspotting & Shallow Grave, but they were ages since....

Buscemi actually has a small part in the movie. As usual, though, he steals the scenes he is in.
This actually is Albert Finneys movie though. Billy Crudup was good but he had to go up against Finney in almost every scene.

Well, watch Big Fish and add a third.

Aye, certainly. I like pretty much everything about that film, it isn't too quirky and came at a time when I figured that Burton's films wouuld just become parodies of themselves... Although, after Big Fish, he went well on the way to acheiving that with Factory and Corpse Bride.....

But yes, watch A Cock and Bull Story and realise what a crime it was that it didn't even get a sniff at reaching the final!

That goes for everybody.

Since we've already butchered Neemos' thread:

Jim, when I was in NY for the Hammerstein shows, I was looking around the Virgin record store and came across the DVD for Cannibal! The Musical, which had your avatar on the cover. Is this another one worth getting?

lol,

Hells yeah it is! In my opinion it's the best film that Trey Parker has done so far. It's a college film, so it's pretty amateurish, but it doesn't look awful. Though the pacing is a bit off at times, it definitely worth a look. I know that Trey was a huge Holy Grail fan, and there's definitely an element of Python in there.

The songs are probably the best thing about the film though. I've almost killed that film the number of times I've seen it, but the songs still get me going. Nothing like a good low budget Troma movie, and if you catch the version with the commentary on it, all the better!

I'm sure that if anythinggoes stumbles into this thread he'll back me up on that one.

Oh shit. We're voting off three, I was listing the movies I liked. Guess that teaches me to actually read all of the initial post. Time for some edit action.  hihi
