I met Duff last night at a Foo Fighters concert in LA. Last place I would have expected to see him, but there he was! Sitting 2 rows ahead of me with some hot chick (not sure who). He even stood up durring few songs and rocked out!
The show was an all acoustic performance with Frank Black (of Pixies fame) as the opener.

Dave Ghrol is very respected in the music industry, maybe they're buds...The show was a special event as the Foo Fighters expanded the band to 7 members including a second drummer and a female violin player. It was a really good show! The girl he was with looked to be a bit younger than him, maybe she took him, They didn't kiss or anything so maybe they are just friends - who knows...

Are you sure it wasn't his wife he was with? I remember reading one time that he took his two girl's nanny to some concert (don't recall who was playing) because he said that she was a big fan of whoever was playing. If who he was with wasn't his wife maybe it was his nanny again.

So, did you meet him? or just see him sitting 2 rows ahead of you? If you just saw him, how can you be so sure it was Duff?

Yes, I shook his hand and said I was a big fan - I did this at the encore He said "thank you", I then said "I can't wait for the new album", he said "thank you" again and smiled. I ran back to my seat!

It was Nickleback. And he said he absolutely hated it.
Anyway, very cool that you got to meet him, gnrbaby.

It happened so fast, but I think this was the lady he was with. She was blond and hot, but didn't look this tall. But, like I said it happened pretty fast and my attention was focused on Duff. It was probably his wife.

Umm, talk about a gold digger. The intro to her website is Welcome to the Jungle, then there's this page titled "My Story":

More like "Duff's Story" if you ask me. Check out all the magazine covers!

Did you bother to do ANY research before calling me a liar??...Looks like they had 8 on stage instead of 7...
MTV NEWS REPORTS
...Grohl was unmistakably the star, but his backing band has never been so essential,
especially the four additional players
. Pat Smear, who played with Grohl in Nirvana and the original Foo Fighters, disappeared for years but looks the same and had an instant presence on stage. With his permanent smile and nonchalant plucking, he was far more fun to watch than perma-Foos Chris Shiflett (who stared at the floor most of the show). Keyboardist Rami Jaffee of Wallflowers fame brought new life to a number of the older songs, especially "See You," which was reinterpreted as a sort of Ben Folds Five jam.
Violinist Petra Haden, who has played with Beck and Green Day, brought a thickness to the songs (rather than standing out) and also sang a tune, "Floaty," which Grohl explained she had done back on the Foo Fighters' first tour, with her band That Dog.
