I.R.S. - Download Festival REMIX (w/ Monitor Mix and Bootleg)

I took the old bootleg of I.R.S. from the Download Festival and layered Axl's monitor mix vocals over top. I did this mainly because I think it's a kick-ass version of the song and the original bootleg had great instrumentals but Axl's voice was harder to hear. Likewise the monitor mix you could perfectly hear Axl's vocals but not really hear the instruments. Now you can hear both.

I added some effects at the beginning and end. I was going to mess around with the guitar solo and Axl's scream but it wasn't sounding right and I figured I wouldn't butcher it - it sounds awesome the way they played it anyway.

However, keep in mind I didn't do any restoration, hiss reduction, etc. on this file so there may be pops and hisses and all that shit. The other one I fooled around with automatic presets in Audition and ran it through all types of filters to make it sound more processed.

I prefer things to not be restored or fucked with in any way. But the idea of the two bootlegs together, like you said one is too much one way and the other the opposite, is a great idea.

If you have a bootleg of Madagascar and Chinese Democracy from Download I can probably mix it with the monitor feed, but I don't have any bootlegs of these songs (apart from the monitor feed), if someone wants to upload them here I can do that though.
