I would like to know what Izzy has done for a living since he left Guns and Roses? I know he has done a few solo albums and he has gone on stage with Axl on the New York tour.  Thanks for your help.  I am a FNG to this website.

Let me say welcome to the board. However, there is a seperate section for this on the messege board. At the home you should see "Wasn't Yesterday Great" - "Ex Gunners", so this post might get moved. Also there should be stuff in there, use the search feature. Also check out Biographies from the home page.

To answer your question however, he put out a few (underappreciated IMHO) solo albums every couple of years. I didn't hear them all but I've heard most are good. He did work with VR, and I believe help write a few songs. However he declined to join the band FT. I think there's something about he doesn't want to go back to touring again for so long. I thought I heard back then he doesn't want to face the temptations of heavy partying and drug use again, not sure if that was true.

Hes been keeping a low profile. He has released some (very good) studio stuff, but mostly for fun I think. AFD alone has set him up for life.

I remember reading somewhere that he spends a lot of time on his favourite hobby - cars - and travelling around a lot.

Yeah check out beenafix.com

You will learn everything you need to know about his life since leaving Gn"R.  He has been making some really ass kicking music the last 15 years.  Gotta listen to some of his solo work and you'll realize what a great song writer he is.

^ Yeah he's playing acoustic guitar on Miss Missy by JCM. And guitar on Walk Away from the Burden Brothers.
And further a song by West Arkeen's band The Outpatience (Wound Up In A Vega), Duff McKagan's album Beautiful Disease (Put You Back) and writing credits for Loaded Episode '99 (Ridin' Home), Mark Lanegan song (Strange Religion) and two Kittyviolet songs (Guys With Oakleys/Up) which aren't officially released yet but out there.

And he recorded some guitar last March for Taz' band (Burden Brothers) who's new album is out in October and he might be on it.

Don't think he has done so much to make a living, as such.  I think he's made his living off the numerous songwriting and publishing royalties he receives off the GN'R albums.

He's realeased a number of cracking solo albums (check out the Juju Hounds and Like A Dog in particular), of which a couple were toured, but he won't have made much money from them.
