I bought a copy of LLAS in Notting Hill a few years ago; the seller told me that it was original but now I'm not so sure about it.
Are the thickness and the weight the only two ways to recognize it from a fake? If it is so, it would be really hard to distinguish one from an other.
Any other piece of advice?

i think that there is also a slight colour variation between the 2. the black on the front cover has got a red cast to it, not much but enough to notice and its the same on the cassette. if you look at the back cover of lies there is no red cast, i think its the same for the fakes, ie the cover is true black without the red cast. i think

if you look on ebay a user from china is selling 4 copies still in shrink. he's got 4 different listings all the same but different item numbers.? ?'CHINA'? the bootlegging capital of the world. ill be very suprised if all these are for real.

My two copies of Lies (vinyl) have the same back of the LLAS front (no red cast), but the back cover of LLAS has some red cast.
So what?
They fooled me?

if there is some red cast on the suicide im guessing its not a fake.

ie-  suicide has a red cast
   -  lies and the fake are true black with no red cast to them

So I presume my copy is an original one, great!! I guess I'll keep buying from their shops.

I've got two authentic original copies.. I wouldn't mind getting a fake at this point just to have it.  I may snoop around for cheap versions of it for fun.. I'll let you know if I find anything.

I know this seller, he told me he bought a lot of copies in tokyo. I bought 2 pink floyd lps from him that are original and not fake. I dunno though..

What the hell have they done to that thing??? ? It's the back of a GN'R Lies album but have they been baking half of it in the sun or something.? I love the colour variations and the fact they say in the description "Covers not bad".? WHAT!!!
