I have a prediction that there will be shows in the NorthEast around Oct 7th. ?Why do I say this? ?Because I've promised my 7 yr old to take her to her first major concert on that night (Evanescence) ?It would be JUST my luck that GNR were playing their only NorthEast date on the same night ?hihi

Here's to a huge tour with NEW material! ?beer

I live in Vegas, anyone need any help with planning anything let me know.

Thanks phreakofnature. ok

Damn...they are playing The Joint....1,500 seats...is that it!!! Shocked that would be an intense show to be sure!!! ok good luck getting seats to that puppy

Only 1500?!! Good and bad at the same time.
thanks neemo. I asked about it earlier but no reply. Sad

yeah i got the info from a web site

Depending on who's headlining, the room converts from a standard concert hall with folding chairs and small round tables to an open floor for dancing and even moshing. The acoustics are superb, equally pristine for the hard-rocking thump of Danzig or the quiet bluegrass fiddle of Alison Krauss. Sometimes the place can get overloaded (as can many of the patrons), and you'll definitely pay for the privilege of seeing an arena band in a 1,500-seat venue. But when The Joint is jumping, it's the best place in town.

http://www.vegasticketsnow.com/the-joint-las-vegas-tickets.asp

That'd be definitely a great privilege but with the place having only a seating capacity of 1500 it should be extremely difficult to get a ticket. I doubt if there're enough for a forum presale. nervous

I don't know. When I saw them there 12-31-01 they didn't even sell out. people were buying tickets that night.? Granted the tickets were $200 a pop............

That is not true. I live in Vegas, EVERY show on new years is sold out.? They may have released tickets day of, but I was trying to get tickets for weeks for that show.. and it was sold out.

That IS true. Look it up, the gig did not sell out!

Looks like they will tour the US with no album, no single and no release date.? Sad? I guess it was foolish to think otherwise after all this time.? ?crying

out of interest, why do you say that?

I agee, it would suck if they dont at least give some indication - but surely there is still time?

There is time, but do any of you really believe that there will be any news from GNR on an album or a single before the Vegas dates?  Hell they didn't even announce these gigs, someone on here found the advertisement on the website.  And tickets go on sale in 5 days!  Axl is still in Europe.  I think they plan on touring the US just like they did Europe.  With a heavy AFD set and no album to speak of.  I won't waste my cash on the same gig I saw in 2002.

the scenario you speak of would be a huge waste of good gains made in Europe in terms of momentum

surely theyre not that stupid?

A part of me really wants to go to Vegas, but I already travelled to NY for opening night at The Hammerstein. I was lucky enough to hear TWAT, Better, IRS, The Blues, Madagascar, and Chinese Democracy at the same show. I know if I go to the Vegas shows, the setlist will just be the same ole rehash of 2002 and 2006 that i've seen and heard before. God damn Axl, why can't you do the right thing and release the fucking album before you start this North American Tour. I will come to see you if you play in Seattle or Vancouver before the album comes out. It would be nice if you could save me the ferry expense and come play Victoria at The Save on Foods Centre. I promise everyone here will be too stoned to bother rioting if you show up late or walk off stage. ?

I admit, I'd prefer a new material heavy setlist...but in a venue as small as "The Joint".. I'll take whatever the fuck I get...

I'm down for the trip, see all you guys there.  ok

Whats everyones predictions on the ticket prices for Vegas? I HOPE it's around Hammerstein's prices...125 is a little steep even for a venue this small.
