I missed it.  Although on Channel 4's 7 o'clock evening news they showed Madonna and how to make 100 million ?'s in 60 days from live gigs *music revenues have overtaken album and download sales*. No wonder Gn'R have hit the road, to try and re coupe all CD's costs

Just caught it on the evening news. Like has been said, the segment was about how you can't reproduce a live show so it hasn't suffered from piracy and what not and is now the biggets form of revenue for artists. They then said something like "even artists with no album can make a fortune. Fans of Axl Rose haven been waiting 9 years for his new album yet he still headlined the download festical." The footage was of Paradise btw.
